Re: Strategic Sponsorship Proposal – “Dunking for Dunkin’”

    Dear Mr. Reynolds,

On behalf of the National Basketball Association, I am excited to propose a dynamic partnership opportunity—“Dunking for Dunkin’”—crafted to generate measurable response, reinforce Dunkin’s market position, and increase consumer engagement in one of the most influential live sports platforms in the world.

This campaign will seamlessly integrate marketing opportunities through a multi-channel activation featuring a Dunkin’-branded halftime dunk contest at every NBA home game, spotlighting local participants and energizing in-arena audiences. All participants—whether dunking or entering online—will have the chance to attend NBA All-Star Weekend 2026 and serve as a guest judge in the league’s premier dunk contest.

Fan-facing incentives include a free donut for all attendees if 15+ dunks occur in-game, and a bonus offer of three (3) free mini donut holes to Dunkin’ app users if a player breaks Klay Thompson’s three-point record during the All-Star voting period. The activation is projected to increase market share and solidify client relationships by directly engaging NBA fans in real time and online.

To heighten impact and authenticity, we propose leveraging three-time NBA Dunk Contest Champion Mac McClung as campaign ambassador, promoting a signature “Mac Attack Meal” and limited-edition donut products through Dunkin’ retail and digital channels.

For a total investment of $250,000, this partnership is designed to drive a 25% lift in app downloads, membership sign-ups, and brand recall—all while reinforcing Dunkin’s identity as a leader in fun, accessible, and community-driven brand experiences.

We look forward to aligning on this strategic initiative to captivate millions, integrate brand value at scale, and position Dunkin’ as the official taste of the NBA’s most electrifying moments.

    Warm regards,

    David Morrison
